Finding Refuge and Joy in God

It is Praise Thursday here on the Afternoon Drive! We shared some devotions from Our Daily Bread to help get you through to this weekend.

The first devotional was called “Death Row Joy” and it was about a man who was joyful even when he was wrongly accused of murder. Not only that but he forgave the men who lied about his involvement. This is such incredible faith to be joyful through his 30 years on death row and trust God. To read this devotional click HERE. The other devotion called “Facing the Battles with God” talks about finding refuge in God. In Psalm David says, “In the Lord I take refuge”. Even in the middle of a battle, like Desmond Doss, God was with him. To read this devotion click HERE

Q: What is the only book of the Bible that does not contain the word “God”?

A: Esther

Congratulations to Justin of Mount Vernon for answering that question correctly, he won a $5 gift card to Everlasting Cup!

Patient when I try to move too fast
