Egg Nog…or Hot Chocolate?

With the holidays quickly approaching, we have to be honest with ourselves. Of course we love getting together with family and friends and making memories, but there’s also another big reason we love them…the food. With so many classic and iconic holiday staples, we had to ask…what’s better: egg nog or hot chocolate? YOU had some opinions!

Carolyn said that egg nog milkshakes are one of her favorites! Gretchen meanwhile wonders who in the world likes hot chocolate? Kelly was another hot chocolate lover, saying that peppermint hot chocolate is even better!

Look up and see the cross!

Today’s Monday Motivation comes from Anne Wilson and her collaboration with Chris Tomlin, ‘The Cross.’

Anne shared this message on her Facebook and Instagram pages this summer, explaining how she hopes it inspires listeners to turn back to God:

“A rebel knows who paid the price for her mistakes,” Wilson said. “1 Peter 2:24 says, ‘He Himself bore our sins and His body on the tree, so that having died to sin we might live for righteousness. By His wounds, you have been healed.’”

“I wrote the song ‘The Cross’ on my new album as a reminder of what Jesus did for us — that He gave up His life so that we can have life in and through Him,” she continued. “And I want to remind all of you that no matter what you have done, no matter how far you have run from God, that it is never too late to come back to Him. He loves you so much, and He gave up everything to give you everything.”

Name a sound you might hear if you were near a barn.

You’re making me new!

Today’s Monday Motivation comes from Royal Tailor (Tauren Wells’ former band) and Making Me New

Tauren says the band name came from two ideas: ‘Royal’ speaks of the truth that we are all valuable in God’s eyes, and a ‘Tailor’ is one who fixes, mends and aids something (or someone) in need.  So, “Royal Tailor” is a reminder that since we belong to Jesus, we are royalty, but are called to serve others!

Enjoy this throwback for Monday Motivation!

Name something that melts when it gets hot.
