Need some encouragement? Good news, it’s Praise Thursday on The Afternoon Drive!

With Sonfest just around the corner, we’re giving out tickets all week long! Congratulations to Julie for correctly answering today’s trivia questions and winning the tickets!

Answer: Cochren & Company- “Don’t Lose Hope”

Verse for today, from ‘Our Daily Bread’ devotional: Psalm 37:7 “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”

For ‘Name That Tune’, our song was ‘Somebody Like Me’ by Caleb & John. Congratulations to Rebecca from Cardington, who guessed correctly and wins the $5 gift card to Watts Restaurant in Utica!

The Beauty of Confession

Today, Dylan shared a devotional about confessing from James Banks, called ‘Convicted and Freed.’ You can read it by clicking here. It’s inspired by Psalm 32.

Blessed is the one
    whose transgressions are forgiven,
    whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one
    whose sin the Lord does not count against them
    and in whose spirit is no deceit.

When I kept silent,
    my bones wasted away
    through my groaning all day long.
For day and night
    your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
    as in the heat of summer.[b]

Then I acknowledged my sin to you
    and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
    my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
    the guilt of my sin.

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
    while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
    will not reach them.
You are my hiding place;
    you will protect me from trouble
    and surround me with songs of deliverance.

We had a stumper! Some hints for next week:
– the name of the band is the lead singer’s last name
– the song title has two words and was released in 2007
– the album name is ‘Burn for You’

Thanks for listening!

Let My Life Be The Proof Of Your Love!

Hi!

Today’s Monday Motivation song comes from for King & Country with their song The Proof of Your Love! This song reminds us that our lives must show the proof of His love! When we are sharing His love with others, we are fulfilling what Jesus commands us to do.

Here is the verses that I picked:

If I sing, but don’t have love
I waste my breath with every song
I bring an empty voice, a hollow noise
If I speak with a silver tongue
Convince a crowd, but don’t have love
I leave a bitter taste with every word I say
.

So let my life be the proof, the proof of your love
Let my love look like you, and what you’re made of
How you lived, how you died
Love is sacrifice
So let my life be the proof
The proof of your love
.

Here is the music video to this song:

Here is today’s winner to our Lauren Daigle Concert Ticket Giveaway:
