God is Your Spiritual Weapon- Use Him!!

We love getting to start our week off with some Monday Motivation for you! We took a look at some encouraging and uplifting songs during The Afternoon Drive! Here’s what we talked about:

Gabriella’s Monday Motivational song was “God is Good” by Francesca Battistelli: This song is about maintaining hope and faith through life’s difficulties by remembering that God’s goodness is a constant, regardless of what happens. Many of people’s struggles are self inflected and can be easily avoidable. Many people often choose a familiar hell rather than taking a chance on an unfamiliar heaven

Joe’s Monday Motivation was I Speak Jesus by Kings Porch: A declaration of power, it is a belief that by speaking His name, strongholds can be broken and darkness can be overcome. It’s a spiritual weapon that everyone has a choice to hold. Overcoming struggles, the song frames this as an act of faith that brings freedom. A universal truth, the song’s message is meant to be applied everywhere. It’s a reminder that even in difficult times, peace is available through faith

Keep Climbing with Christ!

We love getting to start our week off with some Monday Motivation for you! We took a look at some encouraging and uplifting songs during The Afternoon Drive! Here’s what we talked about:

Joe talked about how important it is to stay focused on your walk with Christ. There are many things to distract us on our walk. For majority of us it isn’t a “walk” with Christ, but more of a “climb”. Most of the time on our climb there are “rocks” to slip on or people in our way. The closer you are to the top the harder it is to be patient. Sometimes taking a time out and regathering yourself is the best thing to do. Patience is a virtue! Joe’s motivational Monday went hand in hand with Patient by Apollo LTD.

Gabriella talked about Walk With Jesus by Consumed by fire. We should focus on commitment to Christ through life’s challenges, emphasizing that Jesus is the only true path and that He is present with believers even in “the fire” of trials, ultimately transforming them rather than destroying them. – Walk with Jesus is a declaration of commitment to Christ, meaning to follow His ways, obey His teachings, and live in His presence, despite the challenges and unpopularity it may bring.

Here is your Verse Of The Week on WNZR!

Romans 8:11 (NIV)- “And if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Crist from the dead will also give life to you mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”

October is Clergy appreciation month. This month is a time to honor our local pastors and their commitment to families in our community. Tell us why you love your pastor. Have a Spirit Filled Life!!

We love getting to start our week off with some Monday Motivation for you! We took a look at some encouraging and uplifting songs during The Afternoon Drive! Here’s what we talked about:

Ben Fuller’s “Who I am” speaks to me because it’s about finding your identity in Christ. We all make mistakes, some mistakes are deeper than others, but it’s important to know God can transform your life. The meaning is centered on the Christian belief that God created us, and through faith in Jesus, we can shed past shame and embrace our worth as “a child of the Most High God”.

Here is your Verse of The Week on WNZR!

Mark 9:23 (NIV): ” ‘If you can?’ said Jesus. ‘Everything is possible for one who believes.'”

In Whatever Do, Do It All For The Glory Of God!

Today, we are starting the week off right by digging into God’s Word on The Afternoon Drive! We dug into 1 Corinthians today and talked about worship!

It says in 1 Corinthians 10:31, Paul says “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” An example of this we talked about was exercising, and how that can be worship! It says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” By taking care of our bodies and going out on a run, lifting, working out, we can use that for worship in taking care of the body God gave us. Our bodies are God’s temple, so it is good to take care of our bodies!

You will find by taking care of your body and eating well that your mind will start to become more clear. It will calm your anxiety and fear. Something about working hard with your body helps not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually! Even listening to worship music while you work out helps a lot too!

Here was your Family Feud question for Monday Motivation!

Cast your cares on Him for He cares for you!

What if I stumble? What if I fall? What if I mess up?

Sometimes when God calls us to something, these may be the questions that we first start asking. We’re scared to make mistakes and afraid of failure. But what if mistakes and failure is how we learn and become better?

God has a way of turning failure and shame into His glory and something beautiful. So why should we be afraid of failure? Should we be afraid of mistakes? God shows us that we never need to be afraid of failing or making mistakes!

The song from Consumed By Fire flips the questions of “what if” on its head in their song, challenging us:

“What if you ran through that open door?”
“What if your season of waiting was changing and leading to something more?”
“What if jumping leads to flying, and fear didn’t stop you from trying?”

You can listen to this song here:

Don’t let your “what if” questions keep you from the bigger plans God has for you! “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)

Today we played a game of Family Feud, and last week was a stumper! Here was this week’s prompt:

Praise The Lord! He is with is in the pit.

We had some motivation to start your week off strong! We dove deeper into some songs we listen to on WNZR, them being Tasha Layton’s “Thank You Isn’t Enough” ft. The Choir Room, and “Raise A Hallelujah” from Bethel Music!

Tasha Layton’s newest one reminds us we always have so much to be thankful for! “Thank You for the air that I’m breathing, thank You for a life full of meaning” is something we can be thankful for on the mountain, and in the pit. If we still have air in our lungs, we know God’s not done with us!

Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”

“Raise A Hallelujah” is such a beautiful anthem of praising God anywhere. Whether it be on top of the highest mountain, or deep in the lowest of valleys, raising a hallelujah to God makes a huge difference. We were made to worship God, and what He wants us to do is worship through whatever we’re going through, as we see in Psalm 40: 4Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. 5Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.”

Today we played Family Feud for Mystery Monday! Here was our prompt for today:

Besides Thanksgiving, name a holiday when people eat too much.

  1. Christmas (64 votes)
  2. Easter (16)
  3. 4th Of July (8)
  4. Memorial Day (4)

Congratulations to Greg from Mount Vernon for calling in and guessing the top two answers, taking home that $5 gift card to Watts Restaurant in Utica! Tune in tomorrow for Artist Newsday, and a game of Song Poetry!

Forever Jesus Shall Reign!

Today we talked about some of the songs we get to listen to on WNZR, and highlighted the songs “Hymn of Heaven” by Phil Wickham and “When I Fall” by Katy Nichole.

In Phil Wickham’s song, we worship Jesus for Him and who He is. We know and remember in this song that Jesus is forever victorious and all-powerful, regardless of our circumstances, or what may be going on in the world right now.

Katy Nichole expresses through her song how we desperately need God’s help. Whether we’re on a high mountaintop or the lowest of valleys, we need Jesus. This song is Katy Nichole’s cry for help, and we related this song to the Scripture in Matthew 11:28-30, where it says “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” He wants us to come to Him as we are. He is faithful to give us rest for us.

Today we played Mystery Monday! Here was the prompt we had this week, with the top four answers:

Name a common item people forget to take with them when leaving the house.

  1. Keys (50)
  2. Phone (25)
