Game Time Tuesday

This week’s headlines…

Four years ago, artist and songwriter Matthew West announced the launch of Story House Collective, a venture inspired by his passion to translate his and others’ stories into impactful experiences.

The company now houses a variety of entities, specifically artist management representing West as well as singer and songwriter Leanna Crawford. Story House Collective also manages the nonprofit ministry popwe and the Matthew West Podcast.

West announced last week that industry veteran Jimmy Wheeler is joining Story House Collective as General Manager. Wheeler worked within the Sony Music system for 30 years, the last 25 with Provident Entertainment/Sony Music.

Matthew continues to work on new music and record and release new episodes of his podcast. Launched this past August, “The Matthew West Podcast” guests have included Olympian Shawn Johnson, country duo Maddie & Tae, , Karen Kingsbury, and more.

Leanna Crawford will drop a new music video later this month, and plans are underway for a tour later this year. Her self-titled EP released in 2020, and she has a five-day devotional titled Truth I’m Standing On inspired by her song of the same name.

We The Kingdom unveils the deluxe edition of Holy Water this Friday (1/8), with a brand new track, “Take Me On A Ride,” as well as 7 of their singles, each recorded in a different setting- live, acoustic and more intimate than before.

There is a new version of “Holy Water” featuring Tasha Cobbs Leonard, plus a new acoustic track of “God So Loved.”

The band includes songwriter Ed Cash and his family- brother Scott, children Franni and Martin and close friend Andrew Bergthold.

Power plus Prophets!

Here are today’s Artist Newsday stories:

Continuing to break new ground with first-of-its-kind technology and out-of-the-box creativity, Word Entertainment’s Sidewalk Prophets announces “The Chosen Tour,” a live stream concert outing that will hit 28 cities this fall. Fans will have the rare opportunity to determine the band’s set list in real time for each date, ensuring every show is completely unique. Although each concert will broadcast to a different city and a different set of fans each night, Sidewalk Prophets will perform every show live from their warehouse in Nashville. Named for the band’s current single, “The Chosen Tour” follows the unprecedented success of Sidewalk Prophets’ first live stream concert run, “The Virtual Album Experience,” which took their latest album, The Things That Got Us Here, directly to more than 25,000 viewers in 32 cities. They include Toledo on 10/18, Little Hocking on 10/25 and Columbus on 10/28! An extension of the band’s Power LPwhich released in January, Power + includes the full Power track listing, plus one new song, “Image Of God.”this new track is a timely addition to the Power + set. Nashville Life Music backs up We Are Messengers front man Darren Mulligan on the emotional track, which is slated as the band’s next radio single. “These are challenging times where we need unity, hope, empathy and love,” Mulligan shares. “‘Image Of God’ is a song to unite us, reminding us that every single person is created wonderfully in God’s image, and as such, is invaluable and fully worthy of our time, respect, love and honor.”

We’re running out the darkness,
Chasing down the dead of night,
We’re bringing hope to the streets,
There’s a new way…a better life.
