What love is…what love isn’t.

Paul reminds us in I Corinthians 13 that love is at the core of the Christian faith. The list that we hear many times at weddings has so many more applications to everyday life.

Love is: patient, kind, protecting, trusting, hoping and persevering
Love is not: envious, boastful, self-seeking…it does not delight in evil.

Prayer, Praises, Winter Jam Passes And More!

Another day, another Praise Thursday on the Afternoon Drive. We shared some important prayer requests that we ask you to pray for right now, including praying for sick members of our staff!

We also ask prayer for Bob Tocheff and his wife Diana, both incredible members of our MVNU community. Bob is currently hospitalized and facing some serious health issues. Continue to pray for Bob and Diana in this situation.

Continue to pray for everyone in Los Angeles facing the wildfires, and the courageous people working tirelessly to put out these horrible fires.

We also got to play some new music in the 5 o’clock hour, with Katy Nichole’s “When I Fall” Check out the music video!

Lift Up A Song Of Praise!

We all love music. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t. It’s a beautiful thing when music blends incredible with words of truth and worship. And that’s exactly the kind of music we love playing for you right here on WNZR! Today for Praise Thursday on The Afternoon Drive, we decided to take a listen to the stories and inspirations behind songs of praise and worship.

From biblical truths of God unending faithfulness to the strength of a courageous mother, artists like Elevation Worship and Unsung Hero shared the inspirational and touching stories that inspired their work!

Christmas stress…and how to avoid it!

Why is it that we get so stressed out around Christmas? Is it the tight finances, the holiday rush, trying to figure out what the heck to buy for your family, or all of the above. Honestly, it’s all that and more.

It’s Praise Thursday on The Afternoon Drive, and Christmas stress is almost always unavoidable. But maybe part of the problem is that we take our focus off of what Christmas is really about. The humble birth of a small child, in a quiet peaceful manger, destined to be savior and king of the world. Christmas is about the peace, joy and comfort of the Lord…not the buzz and business of everything else. But we lose sight of that so often. This Christmas, we need to remember what Christmas is really about, the light of the word: JESUS!

The praise that comes from freedom

We start today with a simple praise – God, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to live in a nation where I can cast my vote and where I have a choice! We are blessed!

Then a prayer – Lord, help me to view this week from YOUR perspective. You’re on the throne, and your word still commands us to show proper respect to everyone, to love the family of believers, to fear you, and honor our leaders. Help me to rise above how someone voted, and love them because they are my brother or sister in Christ. To love them like you love us.
