Spring break is just around the corner for us here at MVNU, but there’s no better way to kick off break than to count down the top 10 songs of the week, only here on WNZR!

This week, we went ‘behind the mic’ with Chris Rademaker and wife Jodi King, the husband and wife duo behind the band ‘Love and the Outcome’! Check out their song ‘Heart Like You’ from their 2013, self-titled album, here!

Our breakout hit of the week was from Phil Wickham, who you probably remember because of his song ‘This is Amazing Grace’! Check out his new song ‘My All in All’ from his 2017 album, Children of God, here!

Our NZ Back-to-Back artist this week was Unspoken!
This band has four straight Top 5 AC singles including Lift my Life Up, and Lift My Life Up was also included on the 2015 WOW Hits Release.
We played ‘Lift my Life Up‘ and ‘Call it Grace‘! Check ’em out!

Our NZ Rewinds today were Casting Crowns with 2006’s ‘Does Anybody Hear Her‘ and MercyMe’s 2007’s ‘God With Us‘.

Our Wendy’s Cougar Trivia question today was ‘can you name all 5 of our MVNU Cougar seniors?’Pat Lucas, Deonte Cole, and Josh Ashwill, Megan Beidelman, and Natalie Thomas are our five basketball seniors this year!  Congratulations to Charla of Utica who guessed correctly and will receive a $5 gift certificate to Wendy’s of Mt. Vernon!

Click HERE to hear the amazing story of how a local softball league from Mount Vernon are reaching out to an 8 year old girl from Florida. This story is amazing! This precious girl was turned away from a Father/Daughter dance because she didn’t have a Dad. This girl will be in Mount Vernon this weekend to attend a dance with her new friends from Mount Vernon.

Embrace your middle name!

Today is ‘Middle Name Pride Day,’ so we spent a few minutes sharing our middle names and the stories or meanings behind them.

Jessica’s is PAIGE, which can mean ‘young servant’ according to the website Behind the Name.

Joe’s is DALE, which is a third-generation Rinehart family middle name (his late grandfather and dad also share this middle name).  Dale originally was name given to someone who lived beside a dale, or a large valley.

Annabelle’s is LYNN, which was also her maternal grandfather’s first name.  Lynn means ‘lake’ in Welsh.

Faith’s is CATHERINE, which is a French name meaning pure and clean.

Our crew is back from NRB…Jessica stopped in and told us all about the trip to Nashville! She and Alex Sneed placed second for the Cooking with Chef Paul video project from 2014 Food For the Hungry. We are so proud of her and I am so glad to have Joe and Jess back safely! They were able to listen to great speakers and saw the JJ Weeks Band in concert! Jess also brushed shoulders with Matt Maher.
