Help for WV flood victims

WVA floodsThe town of White Sulfur Springs, WV was severely hit with recent flooding. To help aid in the recovery, WNZR has learned of two efforts happening soon:

The North Central Ohio District Church of the Nazarene will be heading up a Disaster Relief Team to assist in West Virginia.  The team plans to depart from Mount Vernon on Wednesday morning, June 29.  If you would be willing to donate some items to be taken with the team, the items can be taken to the Education Department on the second floor of the Hyson Campus Center (the items will be collected until 4:30 TODAY).  Items requested include:

  • Battery-operated Work Tools
  • Pressure Washer
  • Bleach
  • Cleaning Supplies (Buckets, Paper Towels, Etc.)
  • NO WATER

If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to the North Central Ohio District Church of the Nazarene, 602 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Please put WV flood relief in the memo line.

Grace Community Church of Mt Vernon, located at 18350 Hopewell Rd,will be holding a donation collection on Wednesday June 29, 2016 from 4pm-8pm. Currently the biggest needs of the people of White Sulfur Springs, WV are the following items:
