Who Knew Wednesday

Who Influences You?

Who’s setting the example for you? Or who are you setting the example for?

It’s National Set A Good Example Day for Who Knew Wednesday on The Afternoon Drive, and we all have people who influence our lives everyday. Whether it’s our parents, spouse, kids, coach, or even people on social media and other entertainment, somebody or something is influencing us every single day of our lives.

We have to be incredibly mindful in choosing who we follow and who we watch…they can have an endearing impact on us, good and bad!

Be the influence in someone’s life that lifts them up and encourages them, and follow the example of those that encourage and have encouraged you!

Christmas Shopping Procrastination…We All Do It.

Ever have this problem? I know I do. It’s Who Knew Wednesday on The Afternoon Drive, and did you know that only 8 percent of people surveyed say they do their Christmas shopping before December? In a survey conducted by gallup.com, “16% of holiday shoppers say they will do “all” of their holiday shopping in December, 33% will do “most” of it, and 42% will do “some” of it. Only 8% of those surveyed said they would be finished with their holiday shopping before December began.” Looks like most of us like to put off Christmas shopping until last second.

Egg Nog…or Hot Chocolate?

With the holidays quickly approaching, we have to be honest with ourselves. Of course we love getting together with family and friends and making memories, but there’s also another big reason we love them…the food. With so many classic and iconic holiday staples, we had to ask…what’s better: egg nog or hot chocolate? YOU had some opinions!

Carolyn said that egg nog milkshakes are one of her favorites! Gretchen meanwhile wonders who in the world likes hot chocolate? Kelly was another hot chocolate lover, saying that peppermint hot chocolate is even better!

Be A Little Kinder Today!

Sometimes in the midst of our crazy lives, making the small effort to be a little kinder to each other can make a massive difference! For National Kindness Day on The Afternoon Drive, we shared stories of random and unexpected kindness that we’ve experienced. We’d love to hear yours! Drop your story of unexpected acts of kindness right here: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1104873058306155&set=a.392606606199474

People are spreading kindness all over the world, and even the Ohio Department of Agriculture is stepping up and playing a part! They’re teaming up with Ohio tree growers, local schools, churches and veteran’s groups for Operation Evergreen, sending Christmas trees and homemade decorations to troops serving overseas in Jordan. They’re working together to spread the holiday spirit!

Plus, a young man brought judges to tears with his soulful rendition of For King + Country’s ‘God Only Knows’ on ‘The Voice’. Check out his incredible performance here!

The hunt for Tom Turkey continues! Congratulations to Melanie from Mount Vernon and (), they’ve both been registered for that 14-16 pound Turkey from Smithhislers meats in Mount Vernon! It’s the Totally Tasty Tom Turkey Hunt on WNZR!
