On this week’s Monday Motivation we gave Easter themed motivation and played Mystery Monday with a family feud style question. Here’s what we talked about:
Joe’s Motivation: This past week was filled with many darkness times. It’s important in this time we focus on the light. Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV) – âYou are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” We need to find the joy and the light in harsh times. It’s easy to wallow in our sadness and it’s not what we should be doing.
Gabriella’s Motivation: John 15:5 says that we should “abide” in Him. To abide in Christ means we “live, dwell, and remain” with Him. It’s important we pray through the good and the bad. In order to be full we have to lean on Christ as His disciples did during the Last Supper. We may try to be self-sufficient, but it will never consistent without Him.

Gabriella’s Devotion: Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the lord and not in our own understanding. We struggle with this quite a lot especially when it comes to politics and in our personal lives. We should not be filled with anger for cases or events that happen because majority of the time the full story is not there yet. Trust in the Lord, this world is not our homeland.
Brook Abella’s Devotion: I am an artist in many different ways, but I have ceramics class tonight so that’s the thing I’m focusing on today. I know in the bible it talks about God being a sculptor and us being pottery, but I didn’t realize how much that was true until I started making pottery. In order to make a good piece of art you have to mold it and that’s what God does with us. The water we use to make it easier to mold represents the obstacles we’ve gone through.
Joe’s Devotion: âGive Me Words to Speakâ by Aaron Shust comes from a very personal spiritual struggleâspecifically, a season where he felt empty, inadequate, and unable to say anything meaningful on his own. The core idea behind the song: Shust has shared (in interviews and through the songâs context and lyrics) that it reflects: 1.A sense of spiritual brokenness and confusion. The opening lines describe feeling âcalloused and bruisedâ and dissatisfied with âselfish hopes and dreams,â pointing to a realization that his own efforts werenât enough. 2. A dependence on God for guidance and speech. The central prayer of the song is essentially: âI have nothing worthwhile to sayâGod, speak through me.â This echoes biblical themes of God giving words to His people (like Moses or the disciples). 3. A desire for authenticity in ministry and communication. Rather than relying on cleverness or talent, the song is about wanting oneâs words to reflect Godâs voice instead of personal ambition. The song was inspired by a moment (or season) where Shust realized: âIf anything meaningful is going to come out of my lifeâor my mouthâit has to come from God, not me.â
Our Name That Tune was a stumper this week, but come back next week for a chance to win TWO $5 gift cards to Watts Restaurant in Utica!

On this BEAUTIFUL Who Knew Wednesday we talked about today’s holidays and did our famous Who Am I in the second hour! Here’s what we talked about:
WHO KNEW FACT CHECK– National Little Red Wagon Day? YES. It’s celebrated annually on the last Wednesday in March to honor the iconic Radio Flyer wagon as a symbol of childhood imagination, play, and adventure. Founded in 2016, this day encourages families to bring out their wagons for outdoor play and to create new memories. It’s a beautiful day to participate!
WHO KNEW FACT CHECK – The world’s largest waffle was recorded at 110 pounds with a diameter of over 8 feet, made in the Netherlands. Tomas Jefferson is credited with popularizing them in the 1790s, likely bringing long-handled waffle irons back from France or Holland, which sparked a “waffle craze”. He hosted “waffle frolics” and served yeast-leavened waffles at Monticello.
WAFFLE DAD JOKES– What do you call a waffle on a California beach? A San Diego. Why did the waffle skip breakfast? It was already battered. Waffles are just pancakes with abs. I love you a waffle lot. Don’t go baking my heart. I’m not flipping out, you’re just that sweet. Life is short, stack more waffles

This week’s Monday Motivation was filled with fun information about worship and devotions tied into this year’s Lifeline theme “God Did It!”, plus in the second hour we played a game of Family Feud for our Mystery Monday! Here’s what we talked about:
Gabriella’s Motivation: Keep God as your firm foundation. (talk about being busy and having a. balanced life while keeping God as your firm foundation) Psalm 91:7 (NIV)- âA thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.â God is our shelter and protector. No matter how many problems or complications you are against, God is for you.
Joe’s Motivation: Our theme verse for Lifeline 2026 is “not to us lord, not to us, but to your name be the Glory.” (Psalm 115:1 NIV). Everyone has struggled with who they are or want to be. We are his children. We are made in his perfect image. You are completely accepted (Titus 3:7), you are extremely valuable (Ephesians 2:10), you are eternally loved (Hebrews 2:11), you are forgiven (Romans 8:1), you are fully capable (2 Corinthians 3:5-6)

On this week’s Praise Thursday we shared devotionals tied to our Lifeline 2026 Theme and played a game of Name That Tune! Here’s what we talked about:
Brook Abella’s Devotion: When I was on my spring break I was having such a great time. I went to my favorite beach and spent time with my friends. I thought it was so much fun and that it couldn’t get any better than this. When we were on vacation we found out our family cat died. We’ve had her for 15 years and it was a hard thing to come back to. This reminded me of Ecclesiastes 3:4Â “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance”. I understood that there is a time to weep and now I have to focus on my future and present.
Gabriella’s Devotion: 1 Peter 5:10 “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” The God of all Grace. May the God of all grace settle you. May the God of all Grace strengthen you. May the God of all Grace establish you and make you perfect. May the God of all Grace make you whole. May the Lord God give you strength to overcome, and conquer every tactic and weapon of the enemy.
Joe’s Devotion: In class we talked about the three C’s of our department and one of the things that led to was a talk on identity. Everyone has struggled with who they are or want to be, but as Christians we are God’s chosen people. We are his children. We are made in his perfect image. You are completely accepted (Titus 3:7), you are extremely valuable (Ephesians 2:10), you are eternally loved (Hebrews 2:11), you are forgiven (Romans 8:1), you are fully capable (2 Corinthians 3:5-6).
This yearâs Theme â âGod Did It!â by Micah Tyler
This yearâs Theme Verse is Psalm 115:1 (NIV)- “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.”

On this week’s Who Knew Wednesday we talked about spring centered who knew facts and did our Who Am I trivia! Here’s what we talked about:
Who Knew Fact: Are birds more vocal during spring? Spring is the breeding season, causing birds to sing more to attract mates and warn rivals.
Who Knew Fact: National awkward moment day! Embrace and laugh off the cringeworthy, embarrassing social stumbles we all experience.
Who Knew Fact: âSpring feverâ is a real thing? Yes. The increase in daylight and sunlight triggers the release of serotonin in the brain, which makes people feel happier and more energetic.
Who Knew Fact: The Lifeline challenge is back for 2026? We are looking for 250 individuals to take on the lifeline challenge by giving $25 per month! Will you take one the challenge?
I was born on March 18, 1979, in Los Angeles, California.Â
I am best known as the lead singer and frontman of the pop-rock band Maroon 5.Â
Before Maroon 5, I was in a band called Karaâs Flowers, which later evolved into Maroon 5 after a style change.Â
I gained widespread popularity not only through music but also as a coach on the TV show The Voice.Â
I am also known for my distinctive tattoos, many of which cover my arms and torso and often have personal meanings.Â
I am… Adam Levine! Congratulations to Nicole of Mount Vernon for guessing correctly and taking home a $5 gift card to Watts Restaurant in Utica!
Tune in Tomorrow for Praise Thursday with Joe, Brook Abella, and Gabriella!
On this week’s Monday Motivation we shared motivation through this years Lifeline Theme and played a game of family feud for our Mystery Monday! Here’s what we talked about:
Joe’s Motivation: There was nothing until God spoke, he has done so many things for us when we’ve done nothing to deserve it. He spoke and then there was everything. We wouldn’t exist without him and sometimes we take it for granted. Especially on days like this it’s so easy to be negative, but it’s important we breathe and remember our Father is taking care of us.
Gabriella’s Motivation: Our theme reminds us to take a step back and remember what God has done and will continue to do for us. We have blessing every day and some are taken for granted, but we are reminded to take a step back and count on His glory. We are made with a purpose; to glorify the Lord and tell others about Him. None of us would be where we are without him.
Name an occasion that just wouldn’t be the same without hot dogs.

Who Knew Fact: Is there a day to celebrate dreaming? YES, today is National Dream Day, where we promote that any of our aspirations and dreams should be pursued with perseverance.Â
Who Knew Fact: Should you wash your nose? YES. Daily? YES. Washing out the nose hasnât always been a very common practice for everyone, but it should be. Most people donât realize how many germs, allergens, and other icky invisibles can be present inside the nose just from daily living. Practicing daily nose washing helps to support the bodyâs defenses as the nasal passages work to rid themselves of irritants.Â
Who Knew Fact: Is March named for a Roman god? YES. For Mars or Martius, the Roman god of war and a mythical ancestor of the Roman people. In Roman times March signaled people that it’s time to fight since soldiers paused fighting during the winter. Which is why March is named after the God of war!
Today is also national prom-posal day!! As prom approaches it’s time to start thinking about who and how you’re going to ask someone to prom!!
