Mystery Monday

Today, Joe, Malisa and I had lots of fun with our mystery question!

Here was today’s question:

“100 people were surveyed, and we want you to give the top two answers to this question… “Name an animal, other than a bull, that you wouldn’t want in a china shop.”

With our top two answers being: Elephant (47 answers) and cow (20)

followed by horse (10), bear (8), hippo (4), rhino (4), and moose (3).

After a ton of guesses, we got a winner! Congrats to Mia from Mount Vernon who got our question correct and won that $5 gift card to Troyer’s of Apple Valley!

We also gave away two tickets to Annie Jr. to Stacey from Fredericktown. Congratulations Stacey! If you want to know more about the Annie productions by MTVarts, click HERE.

Praise Thurday lets pray

We also started where we left off last week with Praise Thursday in “Let’s Pray’ By James Banks! Here a little bit of what we talked about! We prayed these verses –

Psalm 23

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

and

Psalm 68: 7-10

7 When you, God, went out before your people,
when you marched through the wilderness,[d]
the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain,
before God, the One of Sinai,
before God, the God of Israel.
You gave abundant showers, O God;
you refreshed your weary inheritance.
10 Your people settled in it,
and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor.

Artist Newsday Game Time Tuesday 9/4

Today for ANDTT, we had a blast giving you all the information about our favorite artists and giving you chances to win!
We played a new game today on the Drive!
WHAT!?! Yes!!! A new game!
We tested the waters with a new game called “Looping Around”.

How do we play?
We take a clip of a song that we play on the station, and we loop a measure or two of it!
And we asked you to name the song (JUST THE SONG) from the looped section.

Today’s ‘Looping Around’ song was “Hold Me” from Jamie Grace ft. TobyMac!

Congratulations to our inaugural winner of ‘Looping Around’…
Robin of Fredericktown!

Our other game we played today was an old favorite, Song Poetry.
The song was “Your Love Defends Me” from Matt Maher! The lyrics?
“You are my joy, You are my song
You are the well, the One I’m drawing from
You are my refuge, my whole life long
Where else would I go?

Congratulations to Maude from Mt. Vernon for guessing correctly!

Our Troyer’s certificates aren’t the only thing we gave away today! We also gave away tickets to the upcoming MTVArts productions of Annie Kids and Annie Jr.
Congratulations to Keven for being caller #3 and winning those tickets!
To learn more about MTVArts upcoming productions, click here!

Of course, it’s Artist Newsday, where we give you all the latest artist news!
Jeremy Camp posted a picture on Instagram last week with the caption: “And I will trust You when it seems that there’s no hope. And I hold tight to the promise You have given. ‘Cause this I know, and I am confident.” I think that’s a promise that we all need to remember!
You can see his full post here!

We are also gearing up for Sonfest 2018, with headliner Lecrae!
Lecrae is actually already on tour, and he’s gearing up to come visit us! He posted about his tour excitement on Twitter! Check out his post here!
His next stop is Kansas City on September 21st right before he comes to see us in Mt. V!
You can learn more about his tour dates here and more about Sonfest here!

Thanks for listening!
