New Album and New Tour!

Today for Artist News Day we shared stories about Cody Carnes and Big Daddy Weave. Our stories today were from JesusFreakHideout.com!

Cody Carnes is coming out with a new album, “Firm Foundation,” on August 25th and he just debuted a brand new song that will be on that album. Listen to it below.

Knox County Fair – Day 4!

Today’s Who Knew Wednesday included a lot about Knox County Fair results and prizes.

Zoe, Morgan and Marcy shared results while Jonathon hosted in Big Blue. Remember tomorrow morning is the Sale of Champions broadcast, starting at 9:30!

Today’s Who Knews…

  • This week celebrates the birthday of American icon Amelia Earhart, born July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. Amelia was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
  • National Dog Photography Day, celebrated on July 26 every year, aims to encourage dog owners, pet enthusiasts, photography enthusiasts, and all dog lovers to post as many photos of their dogs, guilt-free. Did you know that the United States has the highest pet dog population in the world? Yes, the United States has the highest pet dog population among all the countries, with approximately 75.8 million pet dogs.

Today’s trivia winners: Linda from Gambier and Mary from Mount Vernon. They both answered this question correctly: The Ohio Poultry Association will offer several different flavors of this snack at this year’s State Fair. What is it?

The answer? Deviled eggs! Some of the flavors include cotton candy, lemon merengue and everything bagel.

Frankfurter facts and fair fun!

Since it’s National Hot Dog day, and we’re four days away from the Knox County Fair, why wouldn’t we go all in on this favorite fair food? The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council has us covered!

You can check out all kinds of fun facts and poll results about the famous frankfurter, including these questions:

  • is a hot dog a sandwich? 57% say NO.
  • should a hot dog be eaten by hand? 90% say YES.
  • is there a wrong time to eat a hot dog? 86% say NO.
  • what’s the top hot dog topping? 68% say mustard.
