Spring Tours and New Music!

We started Artist News Day with the announcement of Natalie Grant’s Spring Tour. The tour is called It’s Time, she will also be joined by Naomi Raine, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and TAYA! The tour will kick off on April 25th and ends on June 1st. Ticket information is available here.

Lifeline 2023 is coming soon! Lifeline 2023 will be from March 29th trough April 3rd. Our theme this year is God is in This Story based on the song by Katy Nichole and Big Daddy Weave and this year’s verse is Isaiah 41:10 which reads, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

We then continued our Artist News Day with CAIN soon to release their highly project Honest Offering. This six-song live worship EP is to release on Friday, February 24th. The project’s pre-sale begins today and you can listen to the project’s single “Friend In Jesus” now.

We are playing Winter Jam 2023 Artist Trivia for your chance to win passes to any Winter Jam in 2023! Congrats to Jen from Howard she won our Winter Jam Artist Trivia. The question today was, Francesca Battistelli’s Husband matt is the son of a member from which other Winter Jam band? The correct answer is Newsong, Matt Goodwin is the son of Billy Goodwin of Newsong and Francesca and Matt met for the first time during a Winter Jam Tour. The Winter Jam 2023 tour is back and the Ohio dates are SET!

Holly Jolly Artist News!

For the start of Artist News Day Winter Jam 2023 is right around the corner! This year’s lineup features artists We The Kingdom, Jeremy Camp, Austin French, and more! Winter Jam comes to Columbus on January 28th at the Schottenstein Center. Tickets are $15 and you can get them at the door!

Then, continuing the Holiday Artist News with For King & Country will be on this year’s CMT Crossroads holiday episode! It will also feature artists BRELAND, Natalie Grant, and more! This one-hour special airs this Saturday, Dec. 24th at 7am.

Crowder joins Marvel Cinematic Universe??

One day, David Crowder got a random knock on his door. The knock came from Marvel Studios producers asking to use his house as a setting for the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special! For more information on this story, click HERE!

Lights, Camera, Action! (In Color)

For Artist Newsday, we finally have closure on what for KING & COUNTRY have been up to the last few months, and it’s HUGE! Joel and Luke Smallbone took to social media to announce a full-feature film is in production inspired by their song “Unsung Hero”. For more information, you can visit the film’s new website HERE.

CAIN is going on their very first feature tour this spring, and it’s got a special twist along with it! “Live and In Color” will encourage fans to where specific colors in the crowd at each show! To see where you can catch CAIN and what color you are tasked to wear, click HERE!

Phil Wickham’s First Grammy Nomination

Today on the Afternoon Drive we end the show at 4:45 as we get ready for the MVNU women’s basketball game against Bethel University. Pre-game will starts at 4:45pm and the game will start at 5:00pm!

Emma shared some news about how Phil Wickham has been nominated for his first Grammy Award. He was nominated for his song “Hymn of Heaven” was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song!

Behold! New Music, New Artists, New Opportunities!

Today, Emma and I shared about some artists in the news this week, and we also shared some new Christmas songs that were added to our playlist last weekend!

Congratulations to Kirk Franklin, who is currently on tour with Maverick City Music, as he will participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade! You can read more about it HERE

Also in the news is Colton Dixon. Well…kind of. His wife is launching her solo career in the music industry! Read about it HERE

Congrats to Cheryl from Danville and Jeff from Mount Vernon as they are now registered for the Totally Tasty Tom Turkey Hunt! Don’t forget to be listening to Tom’s gobble every time you hear a live dj for your chance to get registered. Thanks to Smithhisler Meats of Mount Vernon we will be giving away 5 Turkeys and the winners will be announced at 7:30am this Friday, November 18th on the Morning Thing!
