Today’s Who Knew? focused on some natural remedies…
Bad breath? Eat some yogurt. The good bacteria in yogurt has been found to be effective in targeting the odor-causing bacteria in your mouth. Make sure you go for the plain kind, no sugar. Breath mints and sprays mask the odor but they don’t help the underlying problem.
You also don’t need expensive mouthwashes to get better breath. Simply gargle with a mixture of 1 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt. This combo will knock out any germs that are causing bad breath.
How much water is enough water? Divide your body weight in half. The number you come up with is how many ounces of water you should be drinking daily for example if you weigh 150 lb you should consume 75 oz of water each day.
Detox with lemon! Lemon juice not only smells great, it tastes delicious too. Mix it with hot water and try it as an alternative to hot tea and coffee. You may find it wakes you up just as well, and your body will thank you.
Craving sweets? Here are two quick tricks to eliminate the craving for sweets without hitting the fridge. One way is to place a small amount of salt on your tongue and let it slowly dissolve. The second is to dissolve about a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water, then rinse your mouth out and spit don’t swallow. The salt or baking soda tends to stimulate the production of saliva which eliminates your sweet craving.
Furry friends. Playing with or petting your pet is known to reduce blood pressure, improve your mood, and reduce stress. It has been proven to work with all pets!
Last week, Gotee Records’ Ryan Stevenson released his new studio album, Wildest Dreams. The first radio single, “Amadeo (Still My God)” is currently in the NZ Top 10.
“These songs are a collection of deep prayers, brokenness, joy, victory, celebration, defeat, pain, grief and reflection,” shares Ryan about Wildest Dreams. “It makes me feel so many things, most importantly, it moves my heart closer to Jesus! I pray it does the same for you and I’m so excited to share it.”
Wildest Dreams hopefully inspires the listener to move to a place of trust and dependence on God.

After announcing on April 3rd that the 16th Annual BRO-AM event in San Diego wouldn’t be happening, Switchfoot has figured out a way to keep the festivities alive via an online event! The June 27th event that also features NEEDTOBREATHE, Colony House, and Judah and the Lion!
Dear Friends!
Every year in June, we gather together at our local beach to lift our voices in support of at-risk youth within our community. We’ve been doing this together for 15 years, raising more than 1.5 million dollars in support of these incredible kids.
This year, since we can’t safely have a concert with thousands of people on the beach, we’re taking the show online! This isn’t just any old Instagram or Facebook live stream, no… We’re going BIG! We’ll have a full stage, lights, live chat and more!
Join us June 27th at 5PM PST on SWITCHFOOT.comas we come together (digitally) in support of at-risk kids in both our local San Diego and NationalCommunities! Can’t make it at 5PM on the dot? No problem! The stream will be accessible until the end of the month. You can tune in live, or catch it with your morning coffee the next day!
We started the BRO-AM 16 years ago with one goal: to give back to the next generation. This year, the needs within our community and country are greater than ever.
All net proceeds of your BRO-AM streaming ticket will bring immediate, much needed relief and support to six amazing organizations:
Feeding America A Step Beyond Challenged Athletes Foundation Feeding San Diego Monarch Schools & VH1 Save The Music

PREP: You can clean the grill grates by soaking them in a tub with hot water and one cup each of ammonia and dish washing liquid. Let it sit overnight, then the next day, grab those rubber gloves and scrub away!
You can also use WD-40 to clean your grill…spray and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. But make sure you wipe them off and clean them with soap and water!
AFTER THE GRILLING PARTY: So your party was a hit, but the cleanup? Gross. Grab an onion, cut it in half and dip it in vegetable oil…scrub the onion over the hot grates. The enzymes in the onion will break down the grime and the oil softens it.
You can also use a red onion to add flavor by halving it, dipping it in water, then rubbing it over the grates before you start grilling.
A NEAT TRICK: If you’re grilling a steak on a closed grill, you can open a can of Dr. Pepper or Root Beer and place it on the hottest part of the grill. The soda will boil and keep the meat moist, while adding flavor.
Curb | Word Entertainment recording artist Natalie Grant, along with her husband, GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and producer, Bernie Herms, performed an online concert event live from the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. The special event, which was benefitting Hope for Justice, an international non-profit organization co-founded by Grant that works to end modern-day slavery, raised over $150,000, was streamed by over half of a million people, and was the culmination of Natalie and Bernie’s “A Song A Day Keeps The Crazies Away” series, which has garnered over 30 million streams since March 17.
Colton Dixon‘s “Miracles” has hit No. 1 on Billboard‘s Christian Hot AC/CHR chart.
“I’m so grateful to all the stations and listeners for getting this song to number one,” Dixon says. “What an incredible journey the past few months with this song have been so far. I feel like our country, our world, is in a place where we need hope maybe more than ever. The stories I’ve heard from fans all over about how during this time they’ve been able to see the little things, the little daily miracles God does in a bigger way now, is really why I wrote this song. Each day, even in the midst of hard times, there is always something we can be grateful for.”
Dixon and his wife Annie are expecting their first children in just a few months, twin girls. Also included on COLTON DIXON is the first love song he’s ever written, dedicated to Annie.
