Praise God it’s almost Friday

On this very hot Praise Thursday we shared some uplifting devotionals from Our Daily Bread! Our first devotion is called “Failed Again”. In Galatians 3 it’s said that God continually supplies us with His Spirit and works powerfully through us as a free gift—not because we’ve done anything or deserve it. You don’t have to work for His grace—it’s free. To read more click HERE. In our second devotion called “Death Zone” we talked about being humble. If we’ve achieved some success, we may appropriately celebrate the accomplishment and accept congratulations, but we must keep moving. We’re in the death zone. Come down the mountain. Humbly serve others in the valley—asking God to guard your heart and your steps. To read the full devotional click HERE.

Q: What book of the Bible contains the Fruit of the Spirit?

A: Galatians

Congratulations to Stephanie of Mount Vernon for answering that question correctly, she won a $5 gift card to Everlasting Cup!

Its Thursday, YAY!

Today on Praise Thursday we shared some amazing devotions from Our Daily Bread. The first one we shared was called “God’s Restoring Ways”. When we’ve hurt others or taken for granted God’s goodness in our life, it’s easy to assume we’ve forever marred the good gifts we’ve been given. But when we humbly turn to Him, we find His love is always reaching to embrace and restore. To read more click HERE. Our second devotional was called “The Baggage Activity”. Sometimes the burdens we carry make us feel like foreigners—alone and misunderstood—even among our peers. Read more HERE.

Q: What did Joseph do for the Pharaoh while he was in prison?

A: Interrupted dreams

Congratulations to Erika of Marengo for answering that question correctly, she won a $5 gift card to Everlasting Cup!

Navigating The Storms of Life

As we navigate life, there are often times when life gets so overwhelming we feel disoriented. In one of today’s devotionals called “Navigating the Storms of Life” we talked about this. When you’re feeling disoriented and lost, God’s faithful guidance through His Spirit and loving presence can comfort you and light your way. To read this devotional click HERE. Our other devotion was called “Not Taking Advantage”. The way we treat others reveals what we believe and value. When we choose to do good instead of harm, our actions might just prompt them to wonder about the God we know and love. To read this devotional for yourself click HERE.

Q: How many people boarded Noah’s Ark?

A: Eight

Congratulations to Pam of Fredericktown for answering that question correctly, she won a $5 gift card to Everlasting Cup!

Don’t Forget to Forgive

Today for Who Knew Wednesday, we focused in on forgiveness! July 7th is Global Forgiveness Day.

We read some very interesting stories and devotionals throughout the day, and this article tells you all that you need to know about the national holiday!

From Our Daily Bread, “Prejudice and Forgiveness” from Arthur Jackson told us a story about a man who had confessed his sin and prejudice in the most bold setting possible.

Who Am I?

  • I received my first drum set at 17 for Christmas, which would be my claim to fame
