Our Town and National Radio Day!

Today on the show we talked about how today is National Radio Day and we also talked with cast members from Our Town which is being performed by MTV Arts.

Emma and Jonathon’s Last Show

In Artist News Colton Dixon just releases his new EP titled “Canvas,” which is out now. This EP includes 7 songs like his new single “My Light.” Dixon and Jordan Feliz have announced that they will be going on Tour together. The Love & Light Tour will be hitting U.S cities in the fall, and we will keep you updated on dates and cities.

In more Artist New Elevation Worship is releasing their 15th album on May 19th! This album is titled CAN YOU IMAGINE? This album will include songs like; “Trust In God” and “More Than Able.”

We are giving away tickets to MTV Arts “Our Town!” Be the third caller during both the Morning Thing and the Afternoon Drive. Congrats to Beth from Mount Vernon she was our third caller today during the show!

Bright messages on a dreary day

Even though we might be yelling at Old Man Winter’s return today, we’ll try to offer some light!

For my devotional for Praise Thursday I shared from “Wellbeing” and talked about how to be content in our situations and throughout our lives. Also, learning from Paul’s teachings in 1st Timothy chapter 6!

Jonathon then shared a devotional from “Our Daily Bread” and how we sometimes water the weeds in our faith. We also look at what Paul writes in Galatians 5:13-26.

Congrats to Jessica from Mount Vernon she won our Name That Tune! The tune was “Hold On To Me” by: Lauren Daigle and she chose a Chris Tomlin CD. Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow with Joe and Dylan for the NZ Top 10!

Today for Who Knew Wednesday, we shared Marcy’s recent conversation with Martin Booker, Executive Director of the Mount Vernon Arts Consortium, about this year’s MVAC schedule and the Mount Vernon Presents initiative.

  2. I am an actress, comedian, and singer.
  3. I had a long-running CBS-TV show which aired from 1967-1978.
  4. On my show, I won numerous awards, including 25 Emmy Awards.
  5. I was in numerous films including “Annie” and “Noises Off”.
  6. I am still living and am 90 years old.

I am…Carol Burnett! Congratulations to Dawn from Fredericktown, who guessed correctly and wins the Anne Wilson CD, My Jesus.

We also got a special visit from Offenburg, Germany native Jessy Hetzel, a friend of students Lucy Prosek and Ricky Geyer, who is visiting Ohio this week! We got to talk a bit about her travels and future plans.

Big Steps!

In Artist News the husband and wife duo, Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes are going on tour, but not just any tour but their first World Tour! The UK/ Europe tour will be called The Blessing Tour and this fall tour will kick off on October 20th in Rotterdam, Netherlands and will end on November 19th in Stockholm, Sweden. In more Artist News Tauren Wells and his family will be packing up and moving from Houston to the Austin, Texas area where they will be planting a brand new Church!
