Who Knew This Is Not A Test?!

Today was Who Knew Wednesday on the Afternoon Drive and I talked all about TobyMac’s “This Is Not A Test” Tour that is coming to Columbus THIS weekend!

You can see TobyMac, Colton Dixon, Britt Nicole, and Hollyn at Nationwide Arena this Sunday night, and you can find out everything you need to know about that over here.

I also told you all about how you can win tickets to see that tour, with our “Feel It, Film It” music video contest. The deadline is 11:59 pm tonight, and you can see more on that here.

The Word of the Day was greenmail, which is the practice of buying enough shares in a company to threaten a takeover, forcing the owners to buy them back at a higher price in order to retain control.

Have an awesome Wednesday evening!

Mystery Monday – 10/19

The new film, Woodlawn, from the Erwin Brothers (October Baby, Mom’s Night Out) debuted on 1,553 screens this past weekend.  The true story of high school football in Birmingham, Alabama in 1973, grossed just over $4 million and was 9th at the box office. Woodlawn was 7th in average gross per screen.

Game Time Tuesday – 9/29

Today was Game Time Tuesday on the Afternoon Drive and I had 2 rounds of Song Poetry!

Julie from Fredericktown picked up two tickets to see Chonda Pierce on her Focus on the Funny Tour, by correctly guessing that the lyrics, And it’s a fight for my attention/I’m being pulled every direction/This world tells me trust what I can see/Lord, won’t You help me/Believe what I believe, belong to Love & The Outcome’s song, King of My Heart.

The second round of song poetry featured these lyrics:

We’re never given the spirit of fear
Only the power of love
We’ll keep on running and not grow weak
His strength is more than enough

We had a stumper with that round, so those lyrics will come back for next week’s Game Time Tuesday.

The Word of the Day was quotidian, an adjective meaning everyday or ordinary. You can read more on that here.
