Game Time from the Fair!

Game Time Tuesday from the Knox County Fair today featured SONG POETRY and Casting Crowns Trivia for Ohio State Fair tickets.

Today’s lyrics for Song Poetry were:

Breathe, then call these bones to live
Call these lungs to sing
Once again, I will praise

The answer? ‘Tremble” by Mosaic MSC – congratulations to Nicolas from Utica, who wins the $5 gift certificate to Troyer’s of Apple Valley!

Today’s Casting Crowns trivia? What year was Meeka Hope Hall adopted by Mark Hall’s family?  The answer? 2010. Debbie from Mount Vernon won the tickets!

Songs, Spelling and Strawberry!

Today’s Song Poetry featutred these lyrics:

You’re parting waters
Making a way for me
You’re moving mountains that I don’t even see

The song? “Still” by Hillary Scott and the Scott Family. Congratulations to Tim of Mount Vernon who wins the $5 gift certificate to Troyer’s of Apple Valley.

Today we also brought back the Spelling EEB, where you spell a word backwards in 30 seconds.  Our topic today was baseball, since Darryl Strawberry is speaking tomorrow night in the MVNU chapel to kick off the North Central Ohio District Nazarene Family Camp Meeting.  It starts at 7:30!  Click here for more information.

Game Time and Inspiration!

Today’s first Game Time contest featured these lyrics for Song Poetry:

When the sun won’t shine and you don’t know why
Look into the eyes of the broken-hearted…

The song was “Speak Life” by TobyMac – congratulations to Tanya of Howard who won the $5 gift certificate from Troyer’s of Apple Valley.

We also gave away tickets to the Outcry Worship Tour – congratulations to Bernalle of Mount Vernon who was our 5th caller…to our cue to call song “No Longer Slaves” by Bethel Music.

The Spelling EEB topic was orchestra, but we didn’t have a winner…so it’s a stumper for next week!

Game Time Tuesday!

Today we played Song Poetry and Spelling EEB, but we also played another game for you to win two tickets to MVNU’s upcoming musical “Leader of the Pack”… Beth from Howard won those tickets.

It’s also ‘uplifting’ Tuesday where we share some uplifting news and a devotional from Sarah Young’s “Jesus Always.” If you would like to know more about Sarah Young and her work, click HERE.

Brittney from Mount Vernon was our Song Poetry winner for identifying “Shoulders” by For King and Country.

Today we launched our third week of Spelling EEB…with our topic “Alabama.”

Ruthie of Mount Vernon won today by correctly spelling BIRMINGHAM backwards in less than 30 seconds!  She wins the $5 certificate to Troyer’s of Apple Valley.

Game Time Tuesday!

Today Lilly and I shared with you lots of information about our NEW event to Lifeline – A 5K run, walk, and bike! Click HERE for more information!

We also got to talk to Joe and Marcy who are in Nashville at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. They’ve had some really awesome opportunities to meet Alex Kendrick and see a South Korean choir! Here are some pictures!
