Singing Over Us

Today is Praise Thursday! Today we talked about John 14:6 which says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Jesus tells us that he is the only way, good works alone will not get you there. This devotional was called “All Roads?” and you can read it by clicking HERE. In our second devotional we talked about how as God’s children redeemed by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, sometimes we hard of hearing, unable, or perhaps unwilling, to tune our ears to the exuberant love God sings over us. Perhaps we might try to listen more closely to hear the joy ringing loudly in His voice. To read more from this devotion called “Singing Over Us” click HERE. Thank you Our Daily Bread for these awesome devotionals!

Summer’s fading…(insert sad face)

You can check out the MVMAF scrapbook here on Facebook. WNZR’s scrapbook is here.

Praisestock starts Sunday morning at 10 with a community worship service – including five churches who will hold Sunday services there. Those churches are Grace Community, Owl Creek Baptist, The Salvation Army, Set Free Ministries and Vineyard Church. The love offering will benefit Food For The Hungry.

Noon to 6pm features local bands, performers and worship teams. There will be food from local vendors, kids’ activities and more. Click here to check out the Praisestock website!

Praise God it’s almost Friday

On this very hot Praise Thursday we shared some uplifting devotionals from Our Daily Bread! Our first devotion is called “Failed Again”. In Galatians 3 it’s said that God continually supplies us with His Spirit and works powerfully through us as a free gift—not because we’ve done anything or deserve it. You don’t have to work for His grace—it’s free. To read more click HERE. In our second devotion called “Death Zone” we talked about being humble. If we’ve achieved some success, we may appropriately celebrate the accomplishment and accept congratulations, but we must keep moving. We’re in the death zone. Come down the mountain. Humbly serve others in the valley—asking God to guard your heart and your steps. To read the full devotional click HERE.

Q: What book of the Bible contains the Fruit of the Spirit?

A: Galatians

Congratulations to Stephanie of Mount Vernon for answering that question correctly, she won a $5 gift card to Everlasting Cup!
