The 2022 National Day of Prayer!

Today is the National Day and Prayer! Let’s join together in praying for our country and world.

This year’s theme is Exalt the Lord Who Has Established Us, based in Colossians 2:6-7.

“Therefore, as you have received Christ, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.”

Paul encouraged the Colossian believers to hold on to their devotion to Jesus. When they received Jesus, he became the foundation of their faith…just as roots are to a tree and concrete is to a house. That union with Jesus was to continue to be the basis of their spiritual lives, even though some individuals tried to twist the gospel message.

We also need to be careful that we don’t abandon Jesus for something or someone else. The competition for our attention today is fierce. Opposing philosophies and a corrupt culture constantly try to lure us away from our Savior. Here, Paul calls his readers to sharpen their focus on Jesus; who gives us fullness, and provides us with everything we need.

Brogan shared a devotional from In Touch Ministries today – read it by clicking here.
