Peace on the Tough Days

Today for our Monday Motivation we shared a special devotional out of Our Daily Bread called His Cross of Peace. It told the story of Simon of Cyrene and how he literally denied himself and carried the cross of our Lord. Can we do the same? Read the full devotional HERE.

We also shared the message from the song “Jireh” by Maverick City Music, a song we play on WNZR. One of the lines that stands out in the chorus is:

Jireh, You are enough.

Sometimes it can be hard to find the peace to realize that truth. I pray today that you can find that peace on the tough days to know that we serve a God who is enough in every circumstance.

Name a kind of building that has many beds on it.

National Great Outdoors Month!

Todays show is dedicated to the great outdoors, as we talk about June being the National Great Outdoors Month! We talk about the history of the proclamation, some great outdoor spots in Ohio and even some health benefits to being outdoors. June is also home to a number of outdoor related days of celebration, such as National Trails Day and National Get Outdoors Day. Although I know we have all been loving this 80’s and 90’s heat here in Ohio, theres no better time to get outside and experience all there is to outside! That of course, unless its thunder-storming out. For more information of National Great Outdoors day, click here! For more information on the health benefits of spending time outside, click here!

Healing after loss…

How Do We Heal?

Its no secret and there’s no shame in admitting it has been a very tough past two weeks. Really, a past couple years. Amidst all that Is happening in the world, we still have the weight of our personally lives, as well as our spiritual lives and mental well beings. So with all that we bear, how do we manage? The answer is often times a tough pill to swallow, as we think we can do it all on our own or change on our own, and the answer is trust in Jesus, and trusting in the changing of hearts and minds.

2 Corinthians 5:14 says “ For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” Christ died for everyone. He died for all sins. The trade off, is he need to be stewards of Christ’s love and show compassion, love and dignity to all, regardless of their faith or life. Love is what will heal the hearts and minds of humans, and Christ showed us how in the Gospels. We can change this world, one heart at a time.

Make it NOT so.

Read this devotional from Tim Gustafson by clicking here. Joe shared this one on May 2, but brought it back for today.

Thanks for listening! Please keep those prayers lifted for our friends in Uvalde.
