Cory Asbury Returns with New Single – Outsing The Angels!
Cory Asbury is entering a brand-new season of worship music. After spending several years away from church and worship ministry, he’s back with a new song called “Outsing The Angels,” which is also the title track of his upcoming album release on September 18.
You probably know Cory best from his hit worship song “Reckless Love,” and recently he opened up about a difficult season in his life where he drifted away from ministry and his faith community. But through God’s grace—and some encouragement from fellow artist Forrest Frank—he says he found his way back to the calling God had placed on his life.
Now he’s sharing that journey through new music. Cory says “Outsing The Angels” is all about worshiping God with passion, holding nothing back, and rediscovering the wonder and excitement of following Him. And in what feels like a full-circle moment, Cory will be hitting the road with Forrest Frank later this year, along with special guest Tori Kelly on “The Jesus Generation Tour,” which is coming to Cincinnati on July 27th! Tickets are currently available to purchase on ticketmaster.com, so get them while you can!

Elevation Worship’s New EP – Alleluia!
Last Friday, Elevation Worship released their newest EP — Alleluia! Originally featured on the group’s album SO BE IT, released in February! “Alleluia” has already amassed more than 11.1 million all-time streams. The EP features 4 unique versions of the song, including a live version, a radio version, an acoustic version, and a Spanish version of the song!
The song originally stood out to me because of the story behind it! It was born from a simple question: “Am I allowed to celebrate?” As everyone knows, this world is filled with so much evil, which frequently gets so much media attention. It’s nearly impossible to open social media, turn on the news, or have a conversation without seeing or hearing negativity. That can deeply impact anyone’s spirit of joy.
However, this song reminds us that worship is not just a moment on Sunday morning, in the car, or when life is easy. It’s a 24/7 act of surrender and thankfulness to God for the goodness He bestows on His creation, even through all the bad. This song also reflects Psalm 34:1, which says, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” We all have a reason to worship, and this new EP from Elevation Worship serves as a reminder to do so!

Congrats to Karen from Mount Vernon for correctly guessing this two-week stumper!
So I can pick myself back up
And keep on telling me
No, my God’s not done
Making me a masterpiece
Thanks for listening to the Afternoon Drive
