This afternoon, Mike and Abby celebrated National Do Something Nice for Someone Else Day!

Abby shared 1 John 3:16-18 which says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” She shared how doing something nice for someone else can be hard, but is always worth it!

Mike also talked about how his Young Adults Pastor made him feel wanted and appreciated on a missions trip! Mike also shared a verse to help us remember the importance of thanking our pastors for clergy appreciation month! It was 1 Timothy 5:17, “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.” It’s a great reminder to thank and honor your pastor!
