  • I left during my senior year of high school to join the U.S. Army Air Forces to become a pilot in WWII but I was denied several times.
  • Eventually, I became a radio announcer for the Special Forces to entertain them.
  • I started my career as a radio DJ before I ended up on Broadway.
  • I am known for being in Mary Poppins. I was also Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie.
  • I am still living at 98 years young.
