  • I was born on August 9th, 1928, in New York City, New York.
  • My father was a cab driver in New York City.
  • I started playing basketball at the age of 13 and was immediately hooked.
  • I played college basketball at Holy Cross University where I led the Crusaders to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
  • I played for the Boston Celtics from 1950-1963 where I won 6 NBA Championships.
  • I was also nicknamed “The Houdini of the Hardwood.”
  • I am still living at 95 years young.
